My name is Justin Ames and I've been a musician since I was 12 years old. My first experience with a recording studio was when I was just 15 years old, I recorded a track with a few friends of mine at a nice studio in Prescott, AZ. Since that time, I became interested in the recording process and purchased my first piece of recording gear.

Once I graduated High School, I decided to move down to the Phoenix area to attend a recording school called the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences where I learned a lot of valuable techniques to apply to my projects.

In 2010, after I finished school, I moved back to Prescott and I purchased a set of drum mics, a new interface, a computer, and a few dynamic mics and started recording musicians in a small room that I turned into a studio at my house. Back then, I was using the name Ames Recording Studios.

After moving to a new location and working with many different genres and artists, I moved to a new location in 2014. I also changed the name of my studio to Sky City Audio in 2016. I've worked with clients all over the world and have worked with local acts too. Locals like: The Faultlines, Sour Fix, Pharoh De Qua, Blister Unit, Prize Fight, NKNGS, Alpha Pigeon, 36 Below, Aeterisk, etc.
